BruSheff Society held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on the 22nd of March 2018 at The University of Sheffield. The main aim of AGM is to elect new committee members for the 2018/19 academic year. They will then take charge of leading the society in all aspects surrounding the needs of Brunei students in Sheffield.
Starting off the meeting by singing the national anthem and reciting prayer:
Some shots of the individual speeches from the candidates! This part of the AGM is essential as it serves as an opportunity for the candidates to prove that they are worthy for the positions they are applying for.
After the individual speeches, society members all proceeded to pray and have lunch together. Everyone, except for the candidates, then voted for who they think is suitable for each of the committee positions. After voting, the AGM resumed at the original venue for the announcement of the new committee.
