Important Information regarding Majlis Junjung Ziarah 2014


As you all know, Junjung Ziarah 2014 is coming up soon, and what better time to post some information regarding the event that is sure to be beneficial to those attending. The information is obtained via UPP.

" Assalamu'alaikum warrah matullah hi wabarakatuh,

Alhamdulillah, it is our privilege to announce that His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam has consented to attend a Bersama Rakyat Ceremony for students and citizens of Negara Brunei Darussalam in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The event will take place on Sunday, 28 December 2014 / 6 Rabiulawal 1436H at London Hilton on Park Lane.

The registration deadline for the event is open now. Please ensure that you fill in the form no later than Thursday, 25 December 2014 / 3hb Rabiulawal 1436H. Family members and relatives visiting from Brunei Darussalam are welcome to attend this event and must register as well.

ITINERARY

The time for students to register on the actual day of the event is from 8.00AM till 10.00AM. Please arrive early due to the large number of people attending this event and to ensure that students are registered on time.

Students are asked not to leave the venue until after 7.00PM, the tentative closing time of this event.
Refreshments will be served two hours prior to the arrival of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam.

When the arrival of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam and members of the Royal Family is announced, students are expected to stand at attention until His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam and all the members of the Royal Family have taken their seats.

When the departure of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam and members of the Royal Family is announced, students are expected to remain in the hall until His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam and all the members of the Royal Family have left.

ATTIRE
Students are asked to dress according to the guidelines below:
Male students: Full Cara Melayu or a dark lounge suit with Songkok.

Female Students:
Baju Kurung or Kebaya.
A dark Formal Suit(with long pants or full-length skirt).
Female muslim students are expected to wear a tudung.

Students who do not comply with these guidelines will be turned away by the event’s security officers. Examples of inappropriate attire include:
Short-sleeved shirts
Tight clothing
Short skirts
Printed T-Shirts
Slippers and sandals
Dyed hair


BRUNEI HALL
Accommodation will be prioritised for students that live far away from London including, but not limited to, Scotland, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Belfast, Ireland, Newcastle, Durham, Middlesbrough, Hull, York, Huddersfield, Lancaster and Liverpool.

Other students from Bangor, Aberystwyth, Exeter dan Swansea from who have transportation problems may also be prioritised.

Due to the limited capacity of Brunei Hall, students are advised to plan accommodation ahead by staying with friends in London or hotels in advanced.
