Go-Kart Racing

and Hi everyone,
Just a very quick announcement. We will be organising a much anticipated Go-kart Racing event for the first time. Just wanted to inform everyone regarding the date of the event. I've decided to put it on 19th December (the 1st day of Christmas Holiday). Just the perfect date and time to have fun after the end of semester.
The Go-kart racing event will be held at Parkwood Karting located at Parkwood Road, just next to Sheffield Ski Village. This afternoon, I called the office responsible for the Go-karts, and asked them mainly about price and the number of participants needed for a race. As long as we decide and confirm on how many people joining, they can come up with the format of the race. And the price too, depends on the number of participants.

Here's a brief overview on the event assuming 40 people are joining.
No. of participants: 40
Format of the race: 2½ Hours Team Endurance
Includes 30 minutes qualifying session
Maximum of 5 drivers per team
6 to 8 teams with 3 to 5 drivers per team
Price per team: 150 pounds
Each person will have to pay a total amount of £35 (£10 in advance for booking, £25 few days prior to the event) which could increase or decrease by a few pounds depending on the number of people joining.

So, are you up to it?
To those of you who are interested, please follow the steps as shown below:
STEP 1: Make a confirmation with Dorren Naia (dorren_126@hotmail.com) by 10th November 2009 saying that you will be joining the event. Remember to include your full name in your email.
STEP 2: Pay £10 to Nuramaliah Jamaludin through Internet Banking by 15th November 2009. You have the option to pay the full amount of £35 in one as well. More information about this will be given once you have confirmed your place.
STEP 3: Final payment i.e. £25 will be collected during the first week of December preferably via Internet Banking.
This will be our first big event of the year, so I hope that everyone will look forward to it. For further information, you can check out the website and do not hesitate to approach me or other committee members.
