BruSheff Society

On the 5th March, BruSheff organized a Solat Hajat as the exams prior our Summer term is nearing. It was also held at the Spectrum Centre. The solat was led by the guest of honour, Ustaz Haji Sammali bin Haji Adam, the religious officer of BSU. One of the programs also included was a recitation of the Holy Qur'an by one of the first year student in the University. In light of the recent successful charity event, BruSheff has readied a documented footage during the event. "Charity for God's sake has a hundred signs within the heart-- the good deed, a hundred tokens. Though in charity riches are consumed, a hundred lives come to the heart in return. Recently, BruSheff has participated in a collaborative charity event for Bruneian Societies within the UK. Other Bruneian Societies include BruLeics, BruBath, BruStol, BruWick, LufBru, BruManch, BruKeele, BruSton and groups from Reading, London and Durham. The Charity Spring Cleaning Clothes Drive is organized by Syukrina Roselan. Dk. Nur Qamarina Pg Luba, the vice president, has been delegated the person-in-charge for BruSheff. The BruSheff committee has appointed dates or time-slots for people to come in and distribute their donations, specifically the 14th & 17th of April, and Opal 2 common room as it's location. The committee has also considered for the people who could not come to any of these dates, they could instead distribute it privately at different time and location. Assalamualaikum, It has been decided that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be on the 16 th   of March. It was previously mentioned during the national day celebration that the AGM will be after Easter. However, in order to follow the schedule set by the Sheffield Students' Union, we need to set an earlier time for our AGM. During the AGM, new committee members will be elected to replace the current committee members for the next academic year. The new committee members will be chosen by the means of democratic votes. Even though the AGM is on the 16 th , the new committee members are only officiated after the Easter Holiday.
